Here are a few tips to know you need a business snapshot:

Ask yourself these top ten probing questions and be honest with yourself –

  • Is your business controlling you or are you controlling it?
  • Is your business showing of being out of control?
  • Does daily chaos rule your life – and life is like a high-speed roller coaster?
  • Do you feel like there could be a sudden stop at the end?
  • Are you working longer for less?
  • Does your bank account reflect the law of diminishing returns more hours yet keeping less?
  • Have you worked longer hours and feel generally you achieved less output in your role daily?
  • Have you noticed a less positive working environment with work colleagues?
  • Have you noticed each day brings a new crisis or fire to get under control?
  • re you constantly reacting or over reacting to problems?

Sure, we could add many more and signs of an unhappy workplace, with low staff morale as warning signs of a pending problem. There is one thing you can 100% depend on, situations like this don't get better. Yes, you are smart enough to know ‘If you can smell smoke there is probably a fire?”

Here is a simple solution – A BUSINESS SNAPSHOT

We suggest conducting a snapshot or review of your sign and print business. We call it a business snapshot. If you think about it, a business snapshot provides someone outside the business to review many parts of your business, interview some key people and conduct financial analysis to provide an objective written snapshot. The prices are somewhat dependant on the size of your business, that said “How much are you risking, by flying blind without an objective viewpoint?”

Thanks for the reading the information above, may I leave you with a well know story capturing the essence of “knowing were you are and planning to go!”

The old story of Alice in Wonderland - you may remember, Alice is lost and wandering aimlessly without any idea of where she is or just what she is looking for. She is looking around bewildered at the junction of several roads.
When suddenly she sees a large grinning Cheshire cat sitting on a multi-coloured mushroom, he smiles at Alice. Alice builds up the courage to ask the Smiling cat “Excuse me cat, may I ask which road should I take?” The cat looking her up and down at such an odd question replies “where do you wish to go?”

Alice replies politely “I don't know where I wish to go, Cat?” The cat looks back puzzled and replies “Well, my dear, if you don't know where you wish to go – take any road!”

Silly story? Well no, we talk to hundreds of customers every year who in fact have arrived where they are, not really having a plan to arrive where they wish to be. Then like our dear Alice – have a desire to know where!

The simple answer is KNOW WHERE you are THEN having a plan to arrive at your destination. Funny as it seems we are asked – “can you get us to the next level?”  Isn’t that the same as Alice’s question?
